Book Review: Black Eyed Susans

So I read another book (well several but lets focus on one).

Book: Black Eyed Susans

Main Character: Tessa.

Is she a heroine? Not really but bad things have happened to her and she has survived them.

Mystery Killer: Could be anyone really.

Everyone else: Weird

Julia Heaberlin takes as through a world in which a serial killer has stricken and left the bodies of four girls in a mass grave shrouded by black eyed Susans. The main character, Tessa, is the sole surviving Black-Eyed Susan. She testifies and helps put a killer behind bars and in death row. Sixteen years later, her killer is about to be executed but she still feels her killer constantly behind her, especially since he is planting black-eyed Susans outside her window.

The book itself is thrilling, once you get past the first few pages, the rest of them really draw you in and then constantly have you at the edge of my seat. The ending was not what I hoped it would be like, which perhaps explains my…displeasure. However, i would still give it a 3 out of 5.

Good quality writing

The end though…

Read the book.
